Challenges Addressed
The Discover Your Inner Artist project was more than just a visual redesign – it was about creating a digital platform that brings a complete curriculum to life. Partnering with the Davis Arts Center, I was tasked with translating the joy and branding of their beloved printed art books into an engaging, easy-to-navigate website for one of the largest school districts in California.
The challenge wasn’t only in design. Teachers needed secure, members-only access to supplemental art content that directly complements the curriculum. This required implementing a robust membership system with a paywall, giving educators seamless access to resources while protecting premium content.

To meet these needs, I designed and built a website that both captures the spirit of the printed curriculum and delivers the technical functionality educators required. The site features a custom membership and paywall system that gates supplemental teaching content behind secure login, ensuring only approved teachers have access. I also created a clear content structure, making it easy for educators to navigate resources quickly during lesson planning. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the Davis Arts Center team to refine features, troubleshoot user flows, and ensure the platform would scale as new curriculum materials are added in the future.
